As a network administrator, I've created various tools to streamline my work with SecureCRT, the SSH application. These tools include scripts for automating tasks like configuration uploading tools and device OUI lookups, as well as custom shortcuts and macros to speed up repetitive tasks. These enhancements have significantly boosted my productivity in managing the network.
Hi, I’m Angelo Contaldi—an experienced IT and network engineer with a passion for solving complex problems and building efficient, future-ready systems. I specialize in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale network infrastructures, and I thrive on developing creative automation solutions that improve performance and reduce manual workload.
With a degree in Computer Information Systems from WVU Potomac State College and hands-on experience at companies like Northrop Grumman, I’ve worked on everything from redesigning core network architecture to automating hardware configuration through Python scripting. My background also includes troubleshooting enterprise network systems and providing 24/7 support across multi-site infrastructures serving thousands of users.
My skill set spans various technologies, including Cisco ISO, Nexus, ASA, Palo Alto Firewalls, VMware ESXi, and Windows and Linux server environments. I’m proficient in Java, Python, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and MySQL, and I’ve used these tools to build everything from robotic arms to inventory management platforms and real-time agricultural data collection tools.
Outside of work, I’m deeply interested in embedded systems, cybersecurity, and hardware prototyping. Whether I’m programming CNC machines, soldering PCBs, or designing 3D-printed components, I love the intersection of code and physical engineering. Fluent in English and conversational in Italian, I spend my time in West Virginia.
